    CONGRATULATIONS OLYMPIC ATHLETES AND UNIFIED PARTNERS
    Congratulations to our Hilo High Olympic Athletes and UNIFIED partners for competing in the 50th State Tracl and Field Competitions this weekend held at UH Manoa. Athletes would like to thank their General Education partners for competing along side them in the relay events, and for taking the time out to practice with them every week. Mahalo to Makena Ahuna, Elijah Apao, Meynard Ballesteros, Julian Langacker, Holli-Jae Macanas, Brianne Saltiban, Jade Rivera, Fiona Supan, Taina Leao, and Remington Uemura. Way to go Vikings! - J.     Interested in taking a summer course? Please visit website https://hilohigh.org/summer2018 for course information and enrollment forms for our summer program!
    Most of the offered courses are FREE to current Hilo High School students, and incoming 9th graders! Deadline: 5/31/2018.

    RECYCLING BOTTLES AND CANS FOR RAINBOW FRIENDS
    Please remember that this summer- and always- you can recycle your bottles and cans at Mr K's ( 815 Kinoole Street- the corner of Kinoole and Hualalei) and ask that they donate the money to Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary. They will then cut a check for the sanctuary and mail it to them. This can add up. All rescue groups are in need of funds to help the displaced pets of the affected areas of the lava flows. Rainbow Friends has taken in over 30 displaced pets. Also if you think you can foster a displaced pet, please call Rainbow Friends at 982-5110. THANK YOU for making a difference! - S. Emery
