Aloha Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S Morning Bulletin. My name is Joseph and here are your announcements for Thursday, October 22th, 2020. Today’s schedule is 1-3-5-7.
Thank you to everyone who participated and made signs for Unity Day! Unity day is a day where people come together within schools, the community, and online to send a message of support, hope, and unity that we are united against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Orange is worn because the color is described as warm and inviting, and its vibrancy makes a strong statement, which becomes a conversation starter, showing support for students who have been bullied and for bullying prevention.
ASVAB Testing
All 10th-12th graders, the first ASVAB administration of the year is next Monday, October 26 at 1 PM. The test will be administered in the Learning Resource Center (LRC), better known as the Hilo High School Library.
If you are planning on joining the military post high school, you will need to take the ASVAB. Contact Ms. Taniguchi IMMEDIATELY at [email protected] to reserve your spot. Due to COVID-19 the number of test takers are reduced, so act now!
Viking Band Fundraiser
Attention All Vikings! The Hilo High Viking Band is having a fundraiser during the months of October and November in partnership with Cafe 100 AND Kozmic Cones. Every Thursday, for the entire month of October, Cafe 100 will donate a portion of all Loco Moco sales to the Viking Band. And, Every Wednesday, for the entire month of November, Kozmic Cones will be donating $1 for every Chicken Katsu Plate sold.Thank you for supporting the Viking Band and local businesses!
PTP Zoom Work Sessions
Seniors! Please remember that your final PTP deadline is December 11, 2020. Last week, Mrs. Frias started hosting lunchtime workshops on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Only 1 student attended to get any help! If you need assistance with any parts of the PTP, please drop into the zoom work session during lunch on any Tuesday or Thursday for the rest of October. Hot Dog w/Bun, Romaine Salad, Fresh Carrots, Fresh Fruit, Sliced Peaches. Pick up times are from 12:25 PM to 1:05 PM.

As a reminder, these meals are now free for all students that are 18 years old and younger, and every child in the family can pick up lunch from us as long as the parent or guardian has a form of identification for the student, such as a school ID card or government issued ID.
