Dear Parent(s) & Guardian(s) of Bus Riders on Honomu, Houselots, and Kaumana Areas:
(Routes: TR18, TR22, TR25, TR26)
We have been made aware that the following bus routes will be suspended effective immediately, due to bus driver shortages:
TR18A & TR18B - Kalanikoa/Hinano/Manono/Mohouli & Popolo/Kalili/Kumukoa/Kukuau
TR22 - Mamalahoa Hwy/Honomu/Akaka Falls/Stable Camp/Hawaii Belt Rd/Ka'apuko Homestead/Old Mamalahoa Hwy
TR25 - Alahelenui ST/Hokulani St/Kaumana Dr./Chong St/Basque Pl/Akolea Rd/Piihonua rd/Peepee Falls St/Lahi
TR26 - Nolemana St/Opalipali St/Pakelekia St/Waenakonu St/Pulima Dr/Puainako St/S. Wilder/Wilder Rd/Puhili
School buses in these areas will not be operating for both morning and afternoon trips for students of Hilo High School. Alternate transportation arrangements will need to be made for your child(ren) beginning today, Tuesday January 11, 2022.
