Have you heard the sound that is being played at 8:05 AM? Here is what it means and what you can do as it’s being played.

JROTC

Attention Vikings. My name is Cadet Command Sergeant Major Nikolas Galdones. The Reveille has been playing every morning at 8:05am and is not to be confused with the tardy bell at the normal time. Once again, it is not meant to be confused with the tardy bell at 8:10am.  In the afternoon, the retreat will be played 15 minutes after the end of the school bell.  Proper etiquette during the morning and afternoon is to stop what you are doing, stand and face the flag. If you see the flag, face towards it and if not, face towards the closest source of music.  Place your right hand on your chest and after it is done being played, you may carry on what you were doing beforehand. It is required that ALL JROTC cadets participate while the songs are being played. For all other students or staff members, we encourage you to participate as well.
