PRE-ROLL: Traffics Safety Tips

Hi Vikings, I'm Kaylee Yamada and I am a soccer and tennis player here for our school. The holiday season is finally here. With that, we want all of you and your families to be safe. This week many of our own athletes will give you tips about driving safely and being a safe passenger. The first tip is to always expect the unexpected. Be sure to always be aware of events that may occur that you cannot control.

Hi, my name is Dayson Crivello and I am a wrestler for our school. Today's traffic safety tip is, always be sure to be aware of the weather that day or night. Many weather conditions can affect vision, road & driving conditions. So be sure to be prepared and ready for anything that comes your way.
Tip #3
Hey all, I'm Khenin and I am a cheerleader and a current paddler for our school. Today's traffic safety tip is, never get into a vehicle with a person who has intook any type of alcohol. Be sure to be a good passenger and don't let anyone get behind the wheel if any alcohol is involved.

Winter Band Concert
Hey Vikings! There will be a winter band concert TODAY, December 7, 2022, starting at 5:30 PM at the Hilo High Auditorium. The Hilo Intermediate band and Hilo High Symphony, String Orchestra, and band will also be there. If you want to hear us play, make sure to come and support the Viking band!
LEO Club
ATTENTION LEO CLUB MEMBERS!!!
There will be a meeting TODAY in BB-302 at lunch. Please be sure to attend because we have one more project scheduled for next week! This is your chance to make a difference in our community!

HOSA - Future Health Professionals
This past weekend, 16 of our HOSA students competed at the Big Island HOSA Regional Conference. There, six of our Hilo High HOSA members qualified to compete at the HOSA State Leadership conference on OAHU this upcoming March. They will represent Hilo High and the Big Island at the State Competition. These students:

2) 'Ihilani Sakai (Medical Math)
3) Kira Corpuz-Matias (Medical Spelling)
4) Unyamanee Suwanasan (In-ya-ma-nee Su-wa-nah-san) (Medical Terminology)
5) Anan Daniels (Medical Spelling)
6) Marissa Dodo (Medical Spelling)

Guitar Class
Hey Vikings, come to the Auditorium, on December 14 at lunch time to hear the guitar students play a recital, featuring a variety of music and styles!
Homecoming Court
Vikings! Are you ready for our homecoming season? Be excited and join us to celebrate the Hilo high school’s homecoming with this year’s theme of “Once Upon A Time At Hilo High” Our homecoming week will run from January 9 - 13, 2023. If you are interested in running for our Homecoming Court, you can pick up an application form from Mrs. Masuhara in room A-16. The application forms are due this Friday December 9, 2022. We can't wait to share with you this magical season!
