Winter Week

Hello Vikings! Today’s dress up day is Santa Tuesday. Hopefully you came to school with your best Santa costume. Come to the patio during recess to receive your 10 HERO points! Tomorrow’s dress up activity is Warm-Sock Wednesday! So wear your fluffiest holiday socks to earn 10 HERO points! We hope you all will join us in celebrating the holiday season! Class of 2023 Graduation Song

Attention class of 2023, the votes are finally in, here is your class graduation song. *video plays* Thank you for all your votes!


Junior Prom

Attention Juniors! If you are interested in attending Junior Prom in March, the Eligibility list is posted outside of Mr. Yamamoto room, R-13. Don’t see your name on the list? Please see Mrs. Hoota at the Front Office to clear any obligations. Students with obligations will be unable to attend if they are not cleared by Friday December 16, 2022 at 3:30pm. Any questions? See Kumu Kaipo in Rm. R21 or Mr. Yamamoto in Rm. R13.


Seal of Biliteracy

Hello, Bilingual Seniors! There will be a Seal of Biliteracy meeting this Wednesday during lunch in the Shehata Sensei's Japanese classroom, B-45. 

Sensei will go over the important information about the upcoming exam right after the winter break. Please make sure to attend the meeting!

[VIDEO] Homecoming Court 

Hey Vikings! Today you will be voting this year’s homecoming ourt during your period 1 class. The link of the google form will be sent out to your school email. The voting will end today at 9:30am. Before you vote, let's meet this year’s homecoming court candidates.

 Here are the candidates for Homecoming Queen:  Chloe Saplan, Jazyen Pasco, Kiana Agpalza, Shawnee Burns and Trina Grube. And here are your Homecoming King candidates: Dheryl Guerrero-Sy and Justin Saragosa. For the Junior class attendant candidate, Emily Lavarias. For the Junior class escort candidate, Kaiden Kunimoto.   Here is your sophomore class escort candidate,  Isaiah Thorne. And here are the sophomore class attendant candidates, Kanani Rivera and Hunter Collins. For freshman class attendant, Jaycie Menino and for the freshman class escort, Zion Rodrigues. Please vote for one attendant and escort for each class. The individuals with the highest votes for senior class will be chosen as King and Queen and the individuals with the second highest votes will be the senior attendant or escort. The homecoming court winners will be announced tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Gingerbread Building

Hello class of 2024, 

As we approach the end of first semester, we at GEAR UP invite you to join us in B-35 during lunch on Wednesday, December 14th for our gingerbread building activity where you can come and create your own gingerbread character to take home and enjoy. All supplies for your gingerbread character will be provided by us, all you'll need to do is show up. Also, bentos will be offered to the first 30 students who show up to our activity so you won't have to worry about missing out on lunch. We hope to see you there! 


Guitar Class

Vikings, come to the Auditorium, on December 14 at lunch time to hear the guitar students play a recital, featuring a variety of music and styles!


GEAR UP

To the class of 2024, are any of you thinking about going to college in the mainland? Would you like to experience what life would be like in another state? Well, GEAR UP is offering you an opportunity to find out. GEAR UP would like to take 10 students from the class of 2024 to both Washington and Oregon to visit college campuses during the summer of 2023.    


The trip is FREE, aside from your luggage fees and spending money. 


To go on this trip all you have to do is complete the application process. If you want to know more, or want to pick up an application packet see Mr. Rosas in B-35. You won't want to miss out on this opportunity!


Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Hey creative Vikings! Are you interested in award and scholarship opportunities? The Scholastic Art & Writing awards are open for submissions. The deadline to submit is December 15th, 2022.  Go to artandwriting.org for submission guidelines or see Ms. Z in room L-4 for assistance.
