This past weekend, On Oahu Island,
the first annual SHOOTS Summit Competition at Moanalua High School. A statewide summit consisting of various video, photography, and graphic challenges. Along with appearances from various guest speakers from across the island. In which our own KVIKS Media team: King James Mangoba, Kayla Imai, Pressley Domingo, and Erin Wagner placed second in 2 categories: The Summit Promo Video and the Social Media Master challenge.
Congratulations to our team for their excellent work!
National Popcorn Day
TODAY, January 19th is national popcorn day! We hope that you dressed up as your favorite movie character. If you did, you will receive 10 hero points for dressing up! Come and participate in a popcorn throw competition during lunch. The winner will receive a prize! Hope to see you there!
Commencement Song Practice
Hey, Class of 2023 Seniors and Senior STARS teachers! Your first Commencement Song Practice will be next week Monday, January 23rd at the Pool during STARS. Please report directly to the Pool for STARS. Your attendance will be taken at the Pool. See you there!
Senior Prom Reminder
If you are planning on attending senior prom please pick up a packet at Mrs. Masuhara’s room (A-16) during lunch recess. The packet pick up will end tomorrow, January 20th. So make sure to pick up your packets!
Winter Night Sky Guitar Recital
Come support the Viking musicians live and in person at the Winter Night Sky Guitar Recital. On Wednesday, January 25th at 6:00pm in the auditorium or stream live on KVIKS. Student groups will play a collection of star themed repertoire along with favorites from blues to rock and country. See you there!
HOSA Meeting
Attention all HOSA Club Members! There will be a meeting in Mr. Assi’s room (L-2) during lunch on Friday, January 20th 2023. Hope to see you there!

[VIDEO] May Day Application Pick-Up
Aloha kākou! My name is Lena and Iʻm Elijah. We are part of this year’s May Day Committee.
We are looking for students who best represent the VIKING and ALOHA spirit and are willing to learn and perform a hula in front of our school and the community. But THIS Friday is the last day to pick up an application.
So, if you were nominated or are interested, please come and pick up an application. Applications will be available until Friday, Jan 20, so get it quick. You can get an application from the following locations:
-Kumu ʻAwaʻs class (who is temporarily in the LRC or library)
-Kumu Heatherʻs class (R20)
-Ms. Tiffʻs class (R24)
and
-Ms. Whitehallʻs class (B42)
