WaiWai Winner

 Aloha mai kākou!

ʻO wau ʻo Kumu ʻAwa a eia wau ma ʻaneʻi ma KVIKS e hoʻolaha ai i ka mea lanakila o ka WAIWAI HAWAIʻI no ka pule MUA o PEPELUALI.

Last weekʻs Hawaiian value was Hōʻihi or to be respectful.  There were many names submitted last week and today I will announce two winners.  These winners will receive a bento TODAY so stop by if your name is called.  Although there can only be 2 winners of a bento, you are all truly amazing for practicing Hawaiian values on campus and in your lives.  It shows our true Viking Pride!  So, for that, ALL student names submitted will receive 20 HERO points that you can use at our very own HERO store in B34.

With that said, the 1st winner of last weekʻs Hōʻihi challenge was nominated by Ms Frias as this student regularly greets her by name and with a smile.  This student ALWAYS says thank you when they are done, and wishes her a good day.  Ms Frias says that this student exhibits Ho'ihi in all parts of her life on a daily basis and should be recogcnized for it. And that studentʻs name is……Bailey Birk.  Maikaʻi loa!

The second winner was nominated by Mrs. Blair and that student is Nevaeh Gravela.  She was nominated for taking the time to work with each student and help them be successful.  Mahalo nui for practicing hōʻihi (respect) on campus.

Please come and see me, Kumu ʻAwa in K101 today-Wednesday- before lunch recess to pick up your bento.

Make sure to watch KVIKS for this weekʻs Waiwai Hawaiʻi and challenge.  If you did not win last week, your name will still be submitted for the chance to be one of 5 winners of a bento at the end of the month.  Stay tuned for that!  I pule maikaʻi!  Have a great week!
