02/27/2024 KVIKS News Bulletin

Aloha, ʻo wau ʻo Hiwahiwa a eia Ka Waiwai Hawaiʻi o Ka Pule or the Hawaiian value of the week.

This weekʻs Waiwai Hawaiʻi is Lokahi which means unity or harmony.

Aloha, ʻo wau ʻo `Aneline me ka haʻawina ʻaʻa no ka pule or challenge for the week.  I challenge you to practice this value by not judging your peers, making new friends and accepting each others differences even if they have different morals than you.

aloha, ʻo wau ʻo Leiana and I leave you with this ʻōlelo Noʻeau to keep in mind while you challenge yourself to practice this weekʻs Hawaiian value. (Ho`okahi wai o ka like). Which means All of one color. All the same; harmonious; in unity.). Have a great week and donʻt forget to practice Lokahi.

I lā maikaʻi!

TOGETHER: Aloha!

Seniors, please listen to this exciting and heartwarming opportunity. As part of Senior Week, we are organizing a card-making event for our local senior citizens, and we need your artistic talents to spread joy and kindness. In just a few simple steps, you can make a huge difference in someone's day.

Here's how you can get involved:

  1. Stop by The Auditorium during Lunch on Tuesday, February 27 to pick up your card-making kit.
  2. Let your creativity flow! Design a cheerful card with positive messages to brighten a senior citizen's day.
  3. Return your completed cards to Mr. Yamamoto by Thursday February 29, 2024.

Remember, small gestures can make a big impact. Let's come together to show our appreciation for our seniors and spread some joy in our community. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Senior Week Chair, Emily Lavarias
