WHAT'S NEW VIKINGS? 


Online Summer Classes (4/5/24-4/8/24)

Aloha, Vikings! If you have already talked with your counselor about taking summer classes through Hawaii Online Courses, registration opens on Monday, April 8th at 8:30am. Your parents need to register you online, and classes fill up on a first come, first served basis. Students throughout the entire state of Hawaii are registering for the same classes, so try to register as soon as possible! Please see your counselor if you have any questions about the course(s) you plan to take.


College Fair (4/5/24-4/12/24)

Hey, Vikings! Are you interested in learning more about different colleges and universities around Hawaii, the mainland, and even other countries? Well you're in luck! We are able to take 90 students in grades 9-11 to a College Fair on Wednesday, April 17th. See Mrs. Frias or Ms. Lawrence in N-103 to pick up a field trip form. Remember that returning your completed form gets you a seat on the bus, so get your form ASAP. Hope to see you there!

Grad Nite (4/1/24-4/30/24)

Seniors! If you haven't already submitted your Grad Nite permission forms and still want to attend this Fun overnight party, please submit your forms and payment to Ms. Switzer in Rm.A-16. Forms are still being collected and it is encouraged for ALL seniors to participate in this unforgettable event. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Switzer in A-16 or Mr. Yamamoto in Room R-13.


Football Conditioning (3/25/24-5/30/24)

Hey interested future Hilo High School football players, strengthening and conditioning practice began on March 28, 2024 (Thursday) 3:00pm at the weight room and old gym till 6:00pm, requirement to attend is a completed physical turned in. Bring tennis shoes, water, towel and extra clothes. Conditioning will be every Tuesday & Thursday 3:00pm - 6:00pm any question see coach John ... if you need a physical form go to our Hilo High School athletic website or go to the main office.

Credit Union Youth Month (4/2/24-4/12/24)

Did YOU know it's Credit Union Youth Month at the Hawai'i Community Federal Credit Union? That means that this month is all about celebrating the members of our very own Student Credit Union here at Hilo High! From now until April 12, 2024, if YOU create a Student Credit Union Account OR deposit $50 if you're already a member, you'll receive a surprise gift from the Hawai'i Community Federal Credit Union! Don't know how to join? Instructions are posted outside of room A-16 and on the Hilo High Instagram! As always, our Student Credit Union is open everyday during lunch in front of A-16, so stop by to create your account or deposit money.


Pacific Lutheran University Presentation (4/2/24-4/18/24) 

There will be a presentation about Pacific Lutheran University from Tacoma, Washington. On Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 8:45am during Pd. 1. The Speaker will be Brandon Braun. Please come on down to Rm. N-103 to pick a pass to attend this informative college  presentation.

May Day (4/12/24 - 4/12/24)

Aloha kākou!  Calling our May Day Court Supports, which are the conch shell blowers, kahili bearers, pūloʻuloʻu holder and the chanter, we will be having an informative meeting Friday, April 12th during lunch recess in K101-Kumu ʻAwaʻs room.  Please make sure that you are present as she will be giving you important details for your kuleana in our upcoming May Day on May 17th.  Please be on time!  Mahalo nui loa.
