TODAY AT HILO HIGH SCHOOL
KVIKS General Meeting
Attention all KVIKS Media members, we will be having our final general meeting of the school year TODAY, May 2nd at lunch. The meeting has been moved to the LRC. We will be handing out bids and packets for the KVIKS Gala, and SA-1 forms for the other broadcasts of this year. If you wish to pick up lunch, grab a slip from C-117. Hope to see you there!
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) (5/1/2024 - 5/2/2024)
For all Christian athletes and Non-athletes , there will be a FCA meeting TODAY at lunch. Everyone is able to come so bring a friend and come to hear about Jesus and talk story.

Senior Picnic Permission Forms (5/2/24-5/10/24)
Attention Seniors! If you did not get a permission form for Senior Picnic on Monday April 29 during song practice, please pick up a Permission form from the three available locations:
Mr. Yamamoto’s - Rm. R-13
Ms. Switzer’s - Rm. A-16
Ms. Arbles - Rm. A-22
All Forms (Bright Green) are due to Mr. Yamamoto by Monday May 20, 2024. You DO NOT need teachers' signatures for your forms. If you do not turn in your permission forms, you will not be able to jump in the pool, and participate in Senior Picnic Activities. More information about senior picnic will be announced at song practice.
AP Contracts (5/1/24-5/3/24)
Attention Students! If you signed up for an AP class for next school year, you were sent an AP Contract. The contracts are due this Friday, May 3rd. If you do not return the form, the registrar will assume that you are no longer interested in taking the class and you will be dropped from the class. A new class will be assigned to you. See your counselor if you have any questions.
Judo State Championships (5/1/2024 - 5/3/2024)
Hilo High has a State Champ! Congratulations to Kamalei Sakai for winning 1st place for the girls 115 pound weight division this past weekend at the HHSAA state judo championships.
Congratulations to our other finalists Kainalu Aurello for placing 2nd at the Boys 198 pound weight division
and Congratulations to Ihilani Sakai for placing 3rd for the Girls 139 pound weight division!
Amazing job Judokas (jew-dough-caws) for all your hard work this past season and representing Hilo High! Go Viks!

Yearbook Pickup (4/25/24-5/10/24)
The yearbooks are coming! Please go and see Mrs. Mant's room in L-5 during lunch on your classes' priority day the week of May 6th-10th. Bring your ID and/or your receipt. If you did not pre-order a yearbook, you can buy one for $50 cash on your priority day, or after.
The pick up times are as follows:
Seniors - Monday, May 6th from 11:20-11:50 AM
Juniors - Tuesday May 7th from 12:25-12:55 PM
Sophomores - Wednesday May 8th from 11:15-11:45 AM
And Freshmen - Thursday May 9th from 12:25-12:55 PM
All Vikings are welcome to come on Friday, May 10th from 11:15-11:45.
