Aloha Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Wednesday, September 6th, 2023. I’m Erin. The periods today are 2, 4 and 6.
Update to Food Menu (9/6/23 - 9/7/23)
Now that the cafeteria is closed, our food is being cooked off-site and transported here before every meal service. As a result, we are now serving the food menu prepared for Waiakea Intermediate School. To access this new menu, go to the Hilo High School website or mobile app, hover over Parents and Students on the navigation menu, and select: Food Menu. There, you can select either Breakfast and Wiki or Lunch. This new menu is in effect for the foreseeable future. As a reminder, to expedite your lunch time experience, have your unobstructed ID card ready for scanning.
Senior Parent Night (9/4/23 - 9/7/23)
Seniors! You have an opportunity to earn your FIRST commencement ticket. There is a Senior Parent Night meeting THIS THURSDAY, September 7th, 2023 at 5:30 PM in the Auditorium. At least one parent or legal guardian must be present in order for you to earn ONE (1) Commencement Ticket. Parent attendance will be taken.
Environmental Agents of Change (9/5/23 - 9/6/23)
Has climate change affected you? Are you concerned about climate change? Are you looking for ways to make a difference? If so, we invite you to join our Environmental Agents of Change Club. Come to C-217 (Ms. R’s room) during lunch recess on Wednesday, September 6th to learn more about our club. We hope to see you there!
Homecoming EMCEE Needed (9/6/23 - 9/8/23)
Hello Vikings! We're looking for an MC to co-host next week Friday’s homecoming rally, so if this is something you'd be interested in, please come to A-16 during lunch this Friday, September 8th, to audition. Thank you so much and we hope to see you there!

ASVAB Registration (8/10/23 - 9/11/23)
All 10th-12th graders, this years first ASVAB administration is on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023. The test will be administered in C-215 and will start promptly at 8:10 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB. Email Ms. Arquero at [email protected] to reserve your spot. Due to COVID-19, the number of test-takers per session have been reduced to 30. C-215 will be closed all morning on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 to accommodate the test.
PSAT & N-M-S-Q-T Registration (8/28/23 - 9/29/23)
The PSAT/NMSQT is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2023.Those who are 9th-11th grade, interested in attending college and taking the SAT should highly consider taking this practice test to better prepare you for the real SAT. 11th graders who qualify for Free or Reduced lunch test for free. For all others, the test costs $18. To register, fill out the google form. Email Ms. Arquero at [email protected]. Spaces are limited to the first 100 students so sign up now!
PALC (9/5/23 - 9/8/23)
