Hilo High Senior Summit on April 15, 2026

Join us for the Hilo High Senior Summit and CTE (Career and Technical Education) Fair.  Are you ready to Explore, Learn, and Discover what Hilo High has to offer?  We are opening our doors to students, families, and the entire community to celebrate the incredible achievements of our work-based learning seniors and get a firsthand look at the exciting career pathways available right here on campus.

2026 Summer School Credit Recovery

Hey, Vikings!  It's that time of year again to start planning for the upcoming summer!  If you have any classes you need to make up, the Hilo High Summer Program is ready to begin accepting your registration.  As usual, our Summer Program is FREE to Hilo High students, and is a great way to earn up to 1 credit.

NO SCHOOL: School Closed Friday, March 13, 2026

In alignment with Gov. Josh Green’s directive and guidance from the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education, all Hawai`i County public schools, including Hilo High School, will be closed on Friday, March 13, due to current severe weather conditions.

No Left Turns Into Campus on School Days

Left turns into Hilo High School from Waianuenue Avenue between 1:00pm and 3:30pm are not allowed on any school day.  Making such a turn is a citable traffic offense that is enforced by the Hawaii County Police Department.
