Young Women in Public Affairs Award. The Awards Zonta Club of Hilo provides $1000 awards recipients who later may be selected for a district/region award of US$1,500. Ten international recipients are selected from the district/region recipients to receive additional awards of US$5,000 each

For Viking Family Thursday, students chose four members of the Hilo High Faculty and Staff to represent their class in three rounds of competitions. They will start with a Hilo High Trivia Kahoot Game, then continue on to perform a TikTok dance and sing the Alma Mater.

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is an annual program to provide skills and character development, while opening the door to Rotary's value of service and ethical standards. Rotary clubs sponsor the students at $100 and $25 for high and middle school students, respectively.
