The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) offers free breakfast and lunch to children ages 18 and under at 74 public schools statewide. The program runs from June 9 through July 17, operating Monday through Friday. [1]
Key details of the program include:

  • Eligibility: Open to all children 18 and under. No public school enrollment is required.
  • Meal Times: Breakfast is served from 7:15 to 8:45 a.m. and lunch from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
  • Holidays: There is no meal service on June 11 (Kamehameha Day) and July 3 (Independence Day observed).
  • Rules: All meals must be consumed on campus. [1]
