The Hilo High School PTSA will be awarding three (3) $400 scholarships to qualified graduating HHS Seniors. These awards are not based on financial need or academic merit. The PTSA judges are simply looking for emotive essays from the heart.
To be eligible for one of the three scholarships, please apply using the following format:
1. Provide proof of your acceptance into a program at an accredited college, university, or vocational school.
2. Provide two Letters of Recommendation from HHS teachers, administration or club advisers.
3. A brief statement/cover letter describing your plans for the future.
4. A one-to-two page , double spaced essay on, "My life as a Viking: How it has influenced me as a person."
The judges are not looking for a list of accomplishments but rather how being at Hilo High School for four years has personally helped influence who you are as a person and where you feel it might take you.
Please sign and return your completed application with all attachments in a single envelope to the PTSA Box in the Main School Office.
The deadline is midnight on Monday April 8, 2019.
