Requests for Final Transcripts
Seniors, now is the time to turn in requests for your final transcripts. Come to the Main Office or Registrar's Office to pick up a request form. Final transcripts can either be mailed or picked up after June 26th. We are unable to send transcripts electronically during the summer. As always, if you are under the age of 18, please make sure your parent or guardian signs the request form. Thank you.
Collecting Donations for Women's and Children's Shelter
Aloha Viking Ohana! The Early College Human Services class is having a collection drive to benefit the Women and Children's Shelter in East Hawaii. Please bring new or gently used items suitable for 1) women, 2) children and 3)household items during the week of April 8-12. Collection location will be in A-1 all week long. Lets show our Viking Spirit by donating what we can.
ELECTIONS
Hey Vikings! Those of you interested in running for office in either class council or student association, don’t forget that your election applications are due on May 10th to A-16! Applications were made available at the mandatory Candidate Training Conference. If you have any questions or concerns please see Mrs Masuhara or Steven Chung in A-16. Thank you!
US Army - Military Service AND attending college
Hey, Vikings! Have you ever considered any Military Service after High School? But are unsure because you also might want to earn a college degree? You're in luck! Some members of the US Army will be at Hilo High on Thursday, April 11th during pd 3 to let you know that you can do BOTH things simultaneously! Come to A-1 to pick up a pass and sign up to attend their informational session.
Hawaii Community College Mandatory New Student Orientation
Attention Seniors planning to attend Hawaii Community College after graduation! Please check your Viking email accounts for an email from Mrs. Frias. Please respond to that email to RSVP for the upcoming New Student Orientation scheduled for April 10th. See Mrs. Frias as soon as possible if you have any questions. Thank you!
Sophomore Days!
Hey, Sophomores! Its that time of the year where we as a class, celebrate a day to ourselves!
The theme for our Sophomore day is " Sophomores Big Splash".
Our dress up days are April 4th, "Camo day". Dress up in your favorite camouflage attire as we take on the first day of Sophomore event.
April 5th "Under the Sea". Dress up in any shade of blue or even as your favorite underwater character or Animal.
We hope to see you all at the pool from 2-4 pm on Friday, April 5th after school to enjoy a fun-filled day with music, activities, prizes, and food!
Freshman Day
Attention all freshmen! Freshman day will be held on Monday, April 8. Please come to school dressed in black and white to show your class pride. We will be having a rally at lunch recess in front of the auditorium. Please join us for some fun and games!

University of Hawaii Travel Industry Management Scholarships
Hey, Seniors! Students attending any Hawaii Community College or the University of Hawaii at Manoa who plan to major in Travel Industry Management or Hospitality are eligible to apply for the Ho'oilina Scholarships. Deadline is April 9th. Applications are available in A-1. See Mrs. Frias for more information.
Merriman's Culinary Scholarship
Attention Seniors attending Hawaii Community College! Are you planning to major in the Culinary Arts or Food Service Program next Fall? If so, see Mrs. Frias for the Merriman's Culinary Scholarship application. The Deadline for completed applications is April 12th.
Kinoole Farmer’s Market Scholarship for Agriculture Majors
Attention Seniors planning to major in an area of Agriculture. The Kinoole Farmers Market has a scholarship specifically for you. See Mrs. Frias for application information. Complete applications are to be submitted by April 22nd.
