Hawaii Community College Summer EdVance Program - register NOW!
Hey, Vikings! Want to spend a couple of weeks this summer learning in hands-on classes at Hawaii Community College? Courses are available this summer in Health and Human Services, Administration of Justice, Carpentry, Auto Body Repair, Automotive Mechanics Technology, and Machine Welding. Registration is open NOW. Hilo High School Boys & Girls Bowling
Come try out for bowling, no experience needed! Coach Damien Chow will teach you fundamentals on how to bowl, the rules of regulations of bowling, and many more. Interested students can sign up at the Hilo High School Main Office. Please pick up and fill out an Athletic Physical Form, along with a Student Participation Form prior to tryouts. Tryouts will be announced at a later date. Mahalo!
International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)
Congratulations to Elizabeth Atkinson, Jared Goodwin, and Shwe Win for participating in the 2019 International Science and Engineering Fair held last week in Phoenix, Arizona. Both Shwe and Jared placed 3rd in their categories of Plant Sciences and Environmental Sciences, respectively, with an award of $1000 each. Jared also received an Arizona State University scholarship award for his four-year project on mapping arsenic deposits in Wailoa State Park. Great job representing Hilo High at ISEF!
