PSAT Registration:
PSAT will be held on Saturday, October 19 at Hilo High School. Students in grades 9th through 11th are eligible to take the test. The fee is $17. 11th graders who qualify for free/reduced lunch is FREE.
Registration is from September 3th to September 27th. CASH ONLY! Please bring exact change. See Ms. Taniguchi during recess or lunch in B35 to register.
Hilo Medical Center Internships
Hey, Vikings! Ever thought of a career in the Healthcare Field, but not quite sure it is for you? Try an Internship! Hilo Medical Center's applications for Internships are open NOW! Deadline to submit is September 27th, so pick up an application from Mrs. Frias in A-1 TODAY!
Fly-in Programs
Good morning, Vikings! Have you ever heard of Fly-In Programs? Some Colleges on the mainland will fly qualified students in for short visits to their campuses. Many programs are open to high achieving students who may be the 1st in their families to be working toward a college degree, qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch, or are Native Hawaiian, American Indian, Hispanic, Black, or other Pacific Islanders. If you are interested in learning more about any of these Fly-In programs, please see Mrs. Frias in A-1. Have a great day!
New Scholarship Information:
Listen up, Seniors! There is a new Scholarship available to Student Athletes! The HMSA Kaimana Scholarship program is open to Class of 2020 seniors holding a 2.75 Cumulative GPA or higher, who have played on at least one school athletic team during at least one of your high school years. Come to A-1 to pick up an application! This $5,000 could be yours!
Yearbook Page Purchase
Hey seniors! Do you want to have your own special page for you and your friends in the 2020 yearbook? You can do it! We are selling pages for seniors only; full page is $200, 1/2 page is $100 and a 1/4 is $50. Only appropriate photos and text will be accepted-no acronyms please. Money must be turned in by September 27th to secure your spot. Questions? Email Mrs. Mant or go visit her in L-3. Let's celebrate our golden years!

Good morning, National Honor Society Members! Our next General Membership Meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept 10th during First Recess at the Pool. Math League Meeting
