 Monday, October 21st 2019.

 

Class of 2021 T-Shirt Orders

Class of 2021, this is our year to

 show our spirit and pride. 

Letʻs show the school who we really are,

 the white and gold panthers!

 If you havenʻt purchased a shirt yet

 youʻre in luck. 

We will be holding another class

 t-shirt pre-order from 

Monday, October 21st through

 Friday October 25th in front of the

 auditorium during lunch. 

If you have misplaced your 

pre-order form you can get another one from

 the pre-order table! 

Shirts are $10. 

Teachers and staff are welcomed to

 purchase shirts as well. 


National Unity Day

 Aloha Vikings! 

 In the month of October,

 we will be celebrating 

 National Unity Day and 

 show our desire to prevent bullying.

 Let’s all unite by participating by

 sign waving on the 23rd, and

 wearing our viking colors or orange! 

We hope to see you all participate!

 Information about several new scholarships is

 now available in A-1. 

 Scholarships such as the

 Horatio Alger Scholarship, 

 Hawaii Self Storage Scholarship, 

 and many more!

 Please come check out the

 Scholarship Binder to

 see which ones might apply to you. 

 If you never apply, 

you will never receive anything!

HILO HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER 

 There is voluntary conditioning

 throughout the week, so please

 visit the Hilo High Website for more information, or 

 Please contact Coach Skee at 

 (808) 938-7282.

 You must have a current physical to participate.

 You may pick up a physical form from

 the main office or from the trainers office.


College and Career Fair Openings

 Good morning, Vikings! 

 We still have space on our two 

 upcoming field trips. 

 On Thursday, October 24th, 

 we will be attending the Construction Career Day.

 On Friday, October 25th, 

 we will be attending the College Fair.

 Please see Ms. Lawrence or Mrs. Frias in A-1 to

 pick up the field trip forms. 

 Completed forms signed by

 teachers and parents,

 must be submitted by

 Monday, October 21st. 

 Space is limited so bring your forms ASAP.

Hilo High 'Am Nest E' International Club

 If you are interested in human

 rights or taking a stand on important issues,

 then you should join 

 Hilo High's Amnesty International Club. 

 It will be an easy way to spread awareness and

 make your voice heard.

 If you are interested, come to R-21,

 Ms. Crowl's room on Monday, on October 21.

 Stop by during lunch recess to learn more.

Viking Band Fundraiser

 The Viking Band has launched its

 annual fundraiser for Ocean Sushi and

 Don's Grill Food Voucher Tickets at

 $15 per donation. 

They are great as gift cards, 

or to treat your family to a meal out.

 Please ask any band student or

 Mrs. Yokoe by October 25 to support your 

Hilo High Viking Band! Mahalo!


Welcome Mele Murals

 Mele Murals, a group of professional artists,

 will be on Hilo High School campus from

 Monday, October 21 to Monday November 4th. 

Mele Murals will be teaming with a group

 of 9th graders to

 teach the story of Hilo,

 design a mural and finally paint a large mural on

 the wall facing the track. If you see an artist,

 or cultural advisor on campus, 

please use your Viking pride and aloha to

 welcome them onto our campus.

Japan Club Selling Jamba Juice 

Good morning Vikings!

 Jamba Juice is being sold at the front of the auditorium for 5 dollars. 

 They will be available after 

school on Mondays and Wednesday’s until

 the end of the month.

Come by and purchase a cold, refreshing 

Jamba Juice!  Thank you!


Upcoming NHS Meeting

This announcement is for 

National Honor Society Members.

 We will be having our

 next general membership meeting on Tuesday, October 22nd during 1st recess at the Pool.

 We will be distributing our club shirts,

 as well as signing up for

 upcoming service opportunities.

 Please be prompt.


PAAC Meeting

PAAC "pack", the Pacific and

 Asian Affairs Council, 

will be having a meeting on 

Tuesday, October 22, in Ms. Crowl's room,

 R-21, during lunch recess.

 If you're interested in current events and

 international affairs, 

come join PAAC. 

We will be discussing the upcoming

 WorldQuest Competition,

 our Global Action Project and

 T-shirt design.
