 your announcements for 

 Friday, October 25th 2019.


Field Trip reminders for this week


Students attending the College Fair today, Friday, 10/25 - you will be missing lunch  Please plan accordingly by eating Wiki, or by bringing a home lunch with you. You will all report to your pd 4 classes as usual.  An announcement will be made to excuse you at 10:30am. Buses will leave Hilo High at 10:45am. We will return to pd 6 around 12:15pm.


If you have any questions about any of these field trips, please see Mrs. Frias in A-1.


Class of 2021 T-Shirt Orders

Class of 2021, this is our year to

 show our spirit and pride. 

Letʻs show the school who we really are,

 the white and gold panthers!

 If you havenʻt purchased a shirt yet

 youʻre in luck. 

We will be holding another class

 t-shirt pre-order until

 Friday October 25th in front of the

 auditorium during lunch. 

If you have misplaced your 

pre-order form you can get another one from

 the pre-order table! 

Shirts are $10. 

Teachers and staff are welcomed to

 purchase shirts as well. 


UH Manoa Scholarship Workshop

Hey, Seniors! 

Planning to attend the University of 

Hawaii at Manoa? Interested in learning

 about some scholarships specific to us in Hawaii?

 Need some time to work on scholarship applications? 

Come sign up for a scholarship workshop 

scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th during pd 4.

 Representatives from UH Manoa will be here to 

share some scholarship information, as well as give

 you some time to work on scholarship apps online. 

See Mrs. Frias in A-1 to pick up a pass.

Hawaii Community College Application

Good morning, Seniors! 

Do you still need to apply to college? 

Did you miss the first Hawaii Community 

College application session last month? 

Well, you're in luck! Hawaii Community 

College will be back to conduct another 

application session with us on Tuesday, 

November 5th. Please see Mrs. Frias in A-1

to sign up for the session and pick up a pass. 

Remember, the application is FREE, 

and non-binding! Hope to see you there!

College Credit Opportunity

Attention ALL Vikings!  Are you interested in starting to earn College Credits while you are still in high school?  Want to earn those college credits FOR FREE? 

 You're in luck!  Hilo High School and Hawaii Community College are offering an AFTER SCHOOL Hawaiian Studies 100 Class during 2nd semester of this school year.  Space is limited, so please see Mrs. Frias in A-1 as soon as possible if you are interested.

you will never receive anything!

Viking Band Fundraiser

 The Viking Band has launched its

 annual fundraiser for Ocean Sushi and

 Don's Grill Food Voucher Tickets at

 $15 per donation. 

They are great as gift cards, 

or to treat your family to a meal out.

 Please ask any band student or

 Mrs. Yokoe by October 25 to support your 

Hilo High Viking Band! Mahalo!
