Halloween Hero Point Opportunity and Rally
Hey Vikings! It's spooky season! Dress up on Halloween to get hero points during recess and lunch in front of the auditorium. There will be a lunch time rally with fun games and a costume contest! Hope to see you there!
Veteran’s Day Cards
Hey Vikings! Just a little reminder that all Veteran’s Day Cards for Hero Points are due on October 30th. Any cards after October 30th will not be accepted. Thank you!
UH Manoa Scholarship Workshop
Hey, Seniors!
Planning to attend the University of
Hawaii at Manoa? Interested in learning
about some scholarships specific to us in Hawaii?
Need some time to work on scholarship applications?
Come sign up for a scholarship workshop
scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th during pd 4.
Representatives from UH Manoa will be here to
share some scholarship information, as well as give
you some time to work on scholarship apps online.

Hawaii Community College Application
Good morning, Seniors!
Do you still need to apply to college?
Did you miss the first Hawaii Community
College application session last month?
Well, you're in luck! Hawaii Community
College will be back to conduct another
application session with us on Tuesday,
November 5th. Please see Mrs. Frias in A-1
to sign up for the session and pick up a pass.
Remember, the application is FREE,
and non-binding! Hope to see you there!
College Credit Opportunity
Attention ALL Vikings! Are you interested in starting to earn College Credits while you are still in high school? Want to earn those college credits FOR FREE?
You're in luck! Hilo High School and Hawaii Community College are offering an AFTER SCHOOL Hawaiian Studies 100 Class during 2nd semester of this school year. Space is limited, so please see Mrs. Frias in A-1 as soon as possible if you are interested.

Japan Club Selling Jamba Juice
Good morning Vikings!
Jamba Juice is being sold at the front of the auditorium for 5 dollars.
They will be available after school on Mondays and Wednesday’s until the end of the month
Stop by and pick one up!
Diving Tryouts
Diving tryouts will be held on October 31, 2019 to November 1, 2019 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Hilo High Pool. You must have a current physical to participate.
Girl’s Basketball Tryouts
Girls Basketball try-outs.
Nov. 4th-6th at the Hilo High Viking Gymnasium.
3:30-6PM.
Must have a current physical on file to participate.
Wrestling Tryouts
Wrestling Tryouts will be from Tuesday, November 12 to Friday, November 22, 2019. On Tuesday, November 12, you will report to the computer lab, room C125 at 3:-- PM. You will need to ensure you have appropriate athletic attire, change of clothes, shower and hygiene items, and a notebook w/pen. ALL Varsity football players will let Coach Ryan know your intent to wrestle by November 12. Tryout dates for Varsity football will be determined. Physical Exams need to completed in order to try out. Strength and Conditioning has already started at weight room/old gym Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
