Changes to Campus Traffic Flow Coming

Hilo High School is an older campus and is located on a very busy roadway.  In an effort to improve safety for all, the school administration has announced upcoming changes to the traffic flow and student drop-off procedures between 6:45am and 8:10am.

1.  All drivers are to travel at a safe speed while on campus.
2.  The use or possession of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or any other contraband on campus is prohibited.
3.  All vehicles are subject to search, at anytime, by school authorities.
4.  Parents are asked to conduct student drop offs along the curb fronting the Library or Cafeteria only.
5.  NO stopping or parking alongside the curb fronting the office/patio areas.
6.  Students being dropped off are asked to sit on the passenger side of the vehicle to allow for quick exiting at the drop-off areas.
7.  Visitors to the campus should follow the traffic around the parking lot, and turn left down the lane for visitor's parking - closest to Waianuenue Ave.  All other stalls in the main lot are assigned to faculty & staff members.

Attached is a map of the revised traffic flow, to be effective January 6, 2020.
