May Day Application
Do you love to dance? Do you love the Hawaiian culture? Do you think you have what it takes to represent your class and ʻohana in this yearʻs May Day Hōʻike? Come to P-3 (Mr. Fernandez rm) and K101 (Kumu ʻAwaʻs rm) to pick up a May Day Court application. Applications will be available from Wednesday, 1/8, to Thursday, 1-16. If you have any questions, please go see Mr. Fernandez or Kumu ʻAwa. Mahalo nui loa.
Unified Champion Program
Anyone still interested in volunteering, or becoming a UNIFIED Partner for Hilo High School Special Olympic UNIFIED Program, please come to room N105 to complete forms. First practice will start be today, January 15th during lunch recess at the track.
Performance Arts Registration Meeting
The Performing Arts Learning Center, PALC, will hold a registration meeting for semester 2. The meeting is, today, January 15th, from 3-4:30 pm.
PALC is an after school program where students can participate in theatre. Students receive a 1/2 credit for their participation. This semester, the project is the musical Mamma Mia! We're seeking actors, singers, dancers, and stage hands. Come to one of the registration meetings to learn more, or see Ms. Seaquist in the auditorium during lunch recess. Happy New Year!
Hot Dog Jam Fundraiser
Hey Vikings! The 6th Annual, Hilo Complex Bands, Hot Dog Jam Fundraising Event is happening on February 15 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at our own Hilo High Gym. Tickets are $7.00 (pre-sold) or $10.00 at the door. Please see any band member or Mrs. Yokoe to purchase yours by Jan 23. Mahalo for your support!
Football Coach/Assistant Athletic Director of Linfield College Visitation!
Attention Students! Coach Doug Hire of Linfield College will be here visiting with us on January 28, 2020 at 8:15 am during Pd.1. If you are a junior football player/student athlete and interested in Linfield's athletic program you are welcome to attend. He also plans on sharing information on the college making decision process and things to consider in choosing a college. As well as other information about Linfield College. Come on down to Room A-1 to get your pass!
