Hilo High Shopping Points
Do you ever go grocery shopping with your parents? Do they ever send you out to do the shopping for the family? For the next 5 weeks until March 31st, tell your family and friends to do their grocery shopping at Sack-N-Save, to help Hilo High School to earn points toward more scholarships! All they need to do is let the cashier know at the time of checkout, that they would like their points to go to Hilo High! Come on, Viks! Shop for Hilo High School!
Seniors Prom Packet Dropoff & Payment Extension
Senior Prom packet dropoff and payment has been extended to Friday, 3/6/2020 during lunch recess in front of A12B.
ASVAB Scores Are In!
See Ms. Taniguchi in B35 to pick up your ASVAB score from the February administration.
ASVAB Sign Up
April 1st will be the last ASVAB administration this year. The ASVAB is a military entrance exam for those of you who are interested in joining the military after high school. This test is open to all 10-12 graders. See Ms. Taniguchi in B-35 to sign up for the test. Space is limited so sign up now.

Iolani School SAT/ACT Prep Program
Attention 9th, 10th, and 11th graders! Would you be interested in attending Iolani School's SAT/ACT Prep Program this summer? The Program dates are June 15 - July 24, so you would need to be staying on Oahu for that span of time. The cost of the program is $690, BUT Iolani will grant ONE FULL SCHOLARSHIP to a Hilo High Student. Please see Mrs. Frias ASAP if you are interested in applying.
2020 YMCA College Camp
Hey, Sophomores! Are you interested in learning more about college and the college application process? Want to get away from home for 1 week this summer? Then you should apply for the 2020 YMCA College Camp! The camp is scheduled for May 30th -June 5th on Oahu, and all expenses are paid, for accepted participants. Application information can be picked up in A-1 or found online at: AthertonYMCA.org . Please see Mrs. Frias if you have any questions!

Doodle for Google - enter your doodle for a chance to win a $30,000 college scholarship! - due March 13, 2020
Foodland's Shop for High Education Scholarship - $2,000 - due March 27, 2020
Japanese Community Association Scholarship - $1,500 - due April 10, 2020
Hawaii Island AJA Veterans Legacy Association Scholarship - $1,000 - due April 18, 2020

Special Scholarship Opportunity
This scholarship is only available to Hilo High School seniors who will be attending either UH Hilo or UH Manoa in Fall 2020. The family of G and M Nishiyama and N and J Haraguchi would like to award two $5,000 scholarships to qualified students. Applications are available in A-1 and are due to Mrs. Frias by April 1, 2020.
