Inside Scoops
Last night, Hilo High Student Association released another edition of Inside Scoops! The video focused on extracurricular activities such as clubs and how you can join them, and also an update on athletics with Athletic Director Kaeo Drummondo! If you missed the video, you can find it on our website or on our Youtube and Facebook pages!
Federal Impact Aid Survey
Listen up Vikings! The Federal Impact Aid Survey is very important when it comes to the cost of supporting all Hawaii public schools and students. Everything from school utilities such as electricity, teacher substitutes, and overall funding comes from the federal government. Completing this survey will help decide how much money is given to the Hawaii State Department of Education. Hilo High School parents are able to take the Federal Impact Aid Survey online using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. For more information, please visit our website, hilohigh.org. Those who are unable to fill out the survey online should contact the Hilo High School main office at: (808) 313-5500. Those who do not fill out the survey online will be mailed a copy of the survey to complete. It is THAT important.
KVIKS TV
Applications to join KVIKS TV are now live! If you are interested in technology, video production, photography or digital art, and if you want to help us communicate with our social media and student body audience, please consider joining KVIKS TV. When things get back to normal, KVIKS TV also sets up the A/V at rallies and live streams special events such as May Day, Commencement and Athletics! We are looking for students right now to be both in front and BEHIND the camera. You can even help out from home! Go to kvikstv.info for more information and for the link to the application. Deadline is Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

Viking Band Fundraiser
Attention All Vikings! The Hilo High Viking Band is having a fundraiser during the months of October and November in partnership with Cafe 100 AND Kozmic Cones. Every Thursday, for the entire month of October, Cafe 100 will donate a portion of all Loco Moco sales to the Viking Band. And, Every Wednesday, for the entire month of November, Kozmic Cones will be donating $1 for every Chicken Katsu Plate sold.Thank you for supporting the Viking Band and local businesses!

This is a great time to ask lots of questions, and learn a little more about different colleges and universities. See you there!

As a reminder, these meals are now free for all students that are 18 years old and younger, and every child in the family can pick up lunch from us as long as the parent or guardian has a form of identification, such as a school ID card or government issued ID.
