9th Grade Tutoring
9th graders! As a reminder, there are tutoring hours with Gear Up Manoa tutors every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3-6 pm. till the end of the school year!

HHS Tutoring
Hey, Vikings! As a reminder, there are Zoom Tutoring sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm and every Sunday from 2:00-4:00pm. No need to make an appointment -- just sign in to the zoom sessions and be ready to share your screen and ask your questions.

Bright Spot
For today’s Bright Spot, we have Shwe Win. Shwe has been named as a candidate for the 2021 United States Presidential Scholars Program. Of the nearly 3.6 million high school seniors graduating this year, Shwe is one of approximately 4,500 students to receive this invitation. Each spring, the Commission on Presidential Scholars names up to 161 distinguished graduating high school seniors as U.S. Presidential Scholars. Congratulations on receiving an invitation and best of luck Shwe!
Liliʻuokalani Trust - 2021 Virtual Illustrator Camp
Hey Vikings! Do you want to work with programs like photoshop and iMovie? Do you want to animate Hawai’i Island Mo’olelo? You should join the Liliʻuokalani-Trust Virtual Illustrator Camp! This virtual camp is open to students ages 11-18 and will be occurring over the span of 5 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 6pm. During this time, participants will be using programs such as photoshop and iMovie to animate Mo’olelo (stories) all on an iPad! Interested? ZONTA Scholarship Opportunity
The Awards Zonta Club of Hilo provides a $1000 award to recipients, who later may be selected for a district/region award of $1,500.
Ten international recipients are selected from the district/region recipients to receive additional awards of $5,000 each.
Young Women, aged 16-19 living in a Zonta district/region, or who are citizens of a Zonta country and demonstrate specific qualifications are eligible to apply. For full specifications and to download the application, please visit the school website at hilohigh.org. Application deadline is March 15.
