April fools Vikings! It’s actually me Braysha! and here are your announcements for Thursday, April 1st, 2021. Today’s schedule is 1-3-5-7.
In preparation for upcoming athletic activities, all student athletes are encouraged to take their Physical Examination with a Physician. You can download the form at: tinyurl.com/PhysicalForm21, print it out and return it fully completed and signed. If you do not have a printer, you can pick up forms in the Hilo High office. Hilo High Security will be collecting the forms, so all you have to do is drive over and hand it to them.
Reminder! The last ASVAB of the year will be administered on Friday, April 9, at 1:00PM in the LRC (Hilo High Library). The ASVAB is for 10th-12th graders who are interested in joining the military after high school. To sign up, please email Ms. Taniguchi at [email protected]. Spots are limited so sign up now!

Hey Vikings, did you want to start your own garden? Or cook a delicious local meal for your family? Hilo High School is hosting another family engagement activity sponsored by Title 1. There are two events happening. For those who want to start their own garden, you can pick up a tomato seedling on Thursday, April 8th. For those who want to learn how to cook fried rice and fried saimin, ingredient box pick up will be on Tuesday, April 20. To sign up for one or both of these engagement activities, please visit hilohigh.org to access the Google Form. Sign ups are from now until April 6th.
Hey Dragons! Junior Days “Virtual but Real!” will be held from April 6-9, 2021. Although everything has been virtual this year, we want to remind you all that your connection to the Class of 2022 is still strong and real! We hope you participate in Tunes Day Tuesday, What’s Your Future Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Fired Up Friday. You can find more information on Junior Days and its mini activities on the class Instagram @classof2022dragons.
The Class of 2022 will also be holding a Teapresso Fundraiser on Saturday, April 10th, 2021. They will be helping to sell boba drinks, bentos, and other goodies at 235 Waianuenue Avenue (Yen's Parking Lot) from 10 am to 2 pm. Please come support your fellow Juniors as the proceeds will go to the Class of 2022 class funds.
