Senior Mob Shot Make-Ups
Aloha Seniors! Last chance for your mob shot photo. Please come up to Mrs. Mant's classroom L-5 during lunch time on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Sign or no sign, we want you to be in the yearbook! Mahalo!
Pride Empowerment Club Meeting
This is Transgender Awareness Week, so the Pride Empowerment Club will be presenting a short video on Thursday at lunch time in Ms. Crowl's room, R-21. They will be showing a short animated film titled "Kapaemahu" (ka- pie - mahu). This story is based on the long-hidden history of four healing stones on Waikiki Beach placed there as a tribute to four legendary mahu who first brought the healing arts to Hawaii. Māhū ('in the middle') in Native Hawaiian and Tahitian cultures are third gender people with traditional spiritual and social roles within the culture. Everyone is welcome to this meeting and watch this amazing video! Let's build respect and honor to native Hawaiian transgender culture. The Pride Empow erment Club will be holding its weekly meeting this Thursday at lunch recess in Ms. Crowl's room, R-21. Bring your lunch and just hang out! The Pride Empowerment Club is for everyone, straight or queer. Let's create a safe friendly space for ALL of us!
Boys Varsity Soccer
Students who are interested in participating in boys soccer for School Year 2021-22, there will be a informational video in regards to the requirements, and expectations to participate. Adding, there will be basic information in regards to the Varsity season. Unfortunately, there will be no JV season at this time. All students will only be trying out for Varsity Soccer. Leo Club Card Project
Attention all LEOs! As you may know, we have a thank you card project in progress that will be sent directly to the HIDOE district workers at the annex to thank and honor them for their continued service to the schools in our community. Please stop by at A-18, Ms. Tanaka's room, to pick up blank cards and markers to assist you in completing this project. Volunteer Wrestling Strength Training
Volunteer Wrestling Strength Training 3:30-5:30 PM every Tuesday and Thursday followed by Wrestling Techniques and Drills 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Location will be Hilo HS old gym. You will need to show proof of full vaccination, and /or exemption along with negative COVID test results within 72hours of every practice.
