Canoe Paddling Broadcast

KVIKl    S Media will be broadcasting the All Schools Canoe Paddling event at Bayfront this  Saturday, February 5, 2022. To tune in, watch online at hilohigh.org/livesports

 

Filipino Club Meeting

There is a meeting for All Filipino Club members on Monday, February 7, 2022 during Lunch Recess in Mr.

PTP Workshops

Aloha, Class of 2023 Juniors! Since you've all started working on your PTPs in STARS, Mrs Frias will be holding PTP workshops every Monday and Wednesday during lunch recess for the rest of the 3rd quarter for YOU! You don't need to sign up to attend - just walk into the LRC to start working. Remember that your PTP is due by May 13, 2022...let's be the first class to meet the deadline!

 

Yearbook Hall of Fame

Attention seniors! Vote for your Hall of Fame! Fill out the Google Form for all of our categories; Mr and Miss Aloha, Aquaman and woman, best athletes and so on by February 11th. They will get their picture in the yearbook! Mahalo!

ASVAB Testing

All 10th-12th graders, the ASVAB is coming up on Monday, February 14th. The test will be administered in the Learning Resource Center (LRC), better known as the Hilo High School Library.  If you are planning on joining the military post high school, you will need to take the ASVAB. Contact Mr. Nakasato at [email protected] to reserve your spot. Due to COVID-19 the number of test takers per session have been reduced to 30, act now!

 

Hawaii Youth Conservation Corps Summer Program Visitation

Attention Juniors and Seniors! The Hawaii Youth Conservation Corps (HYCC) Summer Program will be doing a presentation here

with us on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 10:00am during Pd. 3. This program offers individuals the chance to gain restoration experience in a supportive team environment. Participants will be assigned to a specific island and spend the summer outdoors at various environmental organizations. To learn more about this summer program come to the LRC to sign up. See you then!

 

Tennis Tryouts

To all boys and girls interested in playing tennis this year, tryouts are as follows: Boys- Feb. 21 & 23 3:30-6pm and Girls Feb 21-23 4-6pm across the street at Hilo Intermediate School. Physicals and a covid vaccine card copy is needed, or 2 negative covid tests per week if approved for exemption from shots. There are hitting/conditioning practices still going on which is Boys: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3:30-6pm and Girls: Tues-Fri 4-6pm. Any questions: See Coach Leanne in F-Bldg.
