Good morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin, I’m Keanu, and here are your announcements  for today, Thursday, March 24th, 2022. The periods today are 1-3-5 and 7.


Today is the third day of Junior Week! We now go to King James and Khenin for today's activity.

Host: Are you interested in running for student office? If so, this video will tell you all you need to know!

Pick up a student leadership application packet at room A-16 during lunch from March 21 to Apr 1, 2022. The deadline for all applications is April 1st. Share your voice, lead, inspire and make a difference vikings! 


Host: Student Office is an excellent opportunity to practice leadership. Sign up if you are interested!

[VIDEO] COLLEGE VISITATION

Hey Vikings! St. Martin's University, located in Lacey, Washington, will be visiting Hilo High School. To see their presentation on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 8:30 am during Pd. 2, come to the LRC during recess or lunch to sign up. Hope to see you there!



Host:  Are you looking for a part-time job?  Heres how, you can get some hands-on training in customer service.

 Ms. Taniguchi and Mrs. Frias are inviting 12 students to participate in this semester's session of Old Navy ON-Ward Field Trip on April 9th and 10th.  Participants must be available for both days.  Please see Mrs. Frias in the LRC to pick up a field trip form and for more information.  Remember that only 12 students can participate in this opportunity, so see Mrs. Frias ASAP if you’re interested.

We will be having a joint eyeglass cleaning project with Hilo Lion's Club THIS Saturday from 1:30 to 3pm. If you have any old or unused glasses, please bring them so they can be cleaned and donated. Be sure to check your Google Classroom for the project form. All members must respond and indicate whether you will be able to attend or not. Thank you and see you there! 


Host:  Attention JUNIORS! Do you enjoy public speaking? Are you interested in being this year's graduation MC? Come to Ms. Arbles' room (A-22) for more information by Thursday, March 24, 2022.


Host: Vikings! Are you interested in performing in our May Day program? There will be a meeting this Thursday, March 24, during morning recess in room K101. Please send a representative for your group to the meeting. At the meeting the representatives will fill out a participation form so that they can put you in the line up. If you have any questions, please see one of the advisors. Kumu ‘Awa or Kumu Drew.


Host: Hey Vikings! Are you loco for loco mocos? The Class of 2024 is having a fundraiser next week:

Hilo High’s class of 2024 Phoenixes will be holding a Loco Moco fundraiser on Tuesday, March 29 at Cafe 100! Come get you and your family any Loco Mocos. You heard that right, ANY Loco Mocoʻs between 7am and 7pm and help support the class of 2024! So, Mark your calendars and be ready to enjoy some delicious Loco Mocos. Thank you!
