Aloha Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin, I’m Clara, and here are your announcements for Wednesday, April 27th, 2022. The periods today are 2-4 and 6.


Hey Seniors! Today, you’re showing your class pride and unity with wearing white. Tomorrow’s theme is Country vs Country Club Day, show us your rowdy or preppy side.

 

Attention National Honor Society Candidates. If you picked up an application, please make sure to complete and submit it to Mr. Yamamoto by today, April 27 by 3:00pm. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Yamamoto in room B44.


Seniors, Mrs. Frias has several new scholarships available for application NOW!  Please come to the LRC to take a look at what's available and if any of them apply to you! Deadlines are approaching fast, so I hope to see you there!


The Hero Store is back and open for in-person shopping! The Hero Store is located in B-35 and you can use your Hero points to buy snacks, school supplies, and a lot of other fun things.  Your ID is required for purchase. We will be open during most lunch recesses. You will also be able to check how many points you have on your card.  


This is a friendly reminder for all groups that are performing in this yearʻs May Day.  We have performance screening after school on Wednesday at 1:30pm at K101.  Please be present to ensure your spot in our May Day. If you have questions or concerns, please go and see Kumu ʻAwa.  Mahalo nui.


If you pre-orded your yearbook, please pick them up today, at lunch time at L-5. If you did not purchase a book already, listen for your day of priority. You may come on your classes' day with $50 Cash. Please bring your I.D. and your receipt if possible. We will have a list of names, so don't stress if you can't find your receipt. The designated days for each classes are:

Monday May 2, is for Seniors

Tuesday May 3, are Juniors

Wednesday May 4, is the Sophomores

Thursday May 5th, is the Freshmen

And lastly, for Friday May 6th, all students may come.

Again, we have limited quantities to sell $50. cash only, sold on their priority day or after.

Hey, current Juniors and Seniors, Zippys is accepting applications NOW for their paid summer internship program. You must be a current junior or senior in high school, able to work 15-30 hours per week this summer.  Applications are due by May 8, so please see Mrs. Frias in the LRC to pick up the application information uas soon as possible.  Participation in the paid internship could lead directly to a part-time job!

 

Did you know that EVERY CAREER that we can find in our community, can also be found within the branches of our United States Military?  Would you like to learn more about the benefits and options the Military has to offer?  Please come to the LRC to sign up to attend a mini Military Fair being held here at Hilo High on Friday, April 29th during pd 5.  See Ms. Lawrence or Ms. Frias in the LRC to get a pass to come to the patio and talk with different recruiters from various branches.  We hope to see you there!
