08/01/2022 KVIKS News Bulletin

RIANNE:

Hello Freshman Class of 2026! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Monday, August 1st, 2022. My name is Rianne and I am a sophomore here at Hilo High School. We warmly welcome you to our Viking family.

You are watching the K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin, your source for the latest news at Hilo High School. The bulletin is part of your day as it is scheduled daily at 8:10 AM on the bell schedule. Your teachers are responsible for playing the new bulletin every day. The bulletin is available in several different areas, and today, me and my friends are going to tell you how to access it and keep up to date with Hilo High School.

Here is the fantastic Erin to kick things off.

(Erin) Howdy, my name is Erin, a Junior from the Class of 2024. You can watch the KVIKS News Bulletin online at hilohigh.org! Just hover over KVIKS and click on the News Bulletin. There, you can also find the transcript of this bulletin so that you can quickly read it instead of watching the whole thing. We upload our bulletins to YouTube where you can watch it at youtube.com/hilohighschool. The bulletin is uploaded ahead of time so that you can enjoy it before everyone else.

If you are using a Chromebook on campus, the first page is the HHS portal, where the bulletin is embedded for easy access.

Most of the announcements may appear on the News tab under All News on our website, hilohigh.org. If you are looking for an individual announcement, you may want to check there as well.

There’s another place where you can find the bulletin and more, but for that, we go to Reana. Love that lady!

(Reana) Thank you Erin, ALOHA! My name is Reana, and I’m also a Junior in the Class of 2024. You can find the bulletin and much more on the Hilo High School mobile app. The Hilo High app is available for iOS and Android, and is downloadable from the app store. The Hilo High app has a button to watch the KVIKS News Bulletin, but it also consolidates all of our social media accounts and news from the website. You can also view the Food Menu, Bell Schedule, School Year Calendar, contact Teachers, and more! Most importantly, there is an anonymous tip line that you can use to immediately report any issues on campus. However, if you want a Hilo High School official to follow up with you directly, there is a field where you can input your contact information. The tip line goes directly to people who can act upon it, so please do not be afraid to use it.

The KVIKS News Bulletin, the Hilo High School Website and Mobile App are all run by students such as ourselves, under the direction of the Hilo High School Communications Department, we now to go Camrenn to see how you can get involved in all this amazing work.
