Welcome back Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022. My name is Michael, and I will be your host for today. The periods for today are 1-3-5 and 7.
First, some reminders indoor and outdoor masking is now optional for all staff and students, but highly encouraged. In an event that a cluster or outbreak were to happen, masks may be temporarily required indoors. Quarantine is also no longer required for in-school exposures, but indoor masking is strongly recommended for 10 days. We now have a couple of announcements for athletics.
(Keanu, remote at Old Gym) The Hilo High Air Riflery team will have tryouts this entire week from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at the old gym. If you’re interested in shooting rifles, this will be your ONLY opportunity to join the team. In order to participate, you must have a physical and have a proof of vaccination or take a test two times a week.
(Kalani, remote at New Gym) Aloha Vikings, If you are interested in playing for the Girls Basketball team, please come to the NEW GYM TODAY at 6 PM.
Thank you, aloha Seniors! Congratulations, you are in your final year of high school, and being seniors means that you have a huge section in the yearbook! You need to take or submit your senior portrait, submit your senior quote, share a baby picture, and work on your poster for the mob shot! Please submit your photos, or have your studio appointment with Reed Takaaze by September 1, 2022. The details are on our website, and instagram posts. Hey ceramics students from last year, this is a reminder to come to the ceramics room during morning recess, lunch recess, or after school during this month of August to pick up and/or glaze your work from last year. Ms. Krauss saved all your completed work for you to finish and take home. Again, please come by and finish your masterpieces.
If you are in need of a new or replacement ID card, please go to the LRC during First Recess and Lunch today. An ID is free, and you can retake your photo if you wish.
Are you interested in media and technology? Well KVIKS Media is the right club for you! Interested in joining? Go to kviks.org and press JOIN US to submit your intent to join! We are looking for committed members who are available after school at least twice a week, and are available to come to our live streams, which happen pretty frequently.
