This week in Viking Athletics
Tonight, there is a Girls Volleyball game at the new gym, varsity only versus Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School starting at 5 PM.
This saturday, August 27, 2022 our Viking Football team goes against Keaau High School Cougars at Francis Wong Stadium, kick off is at 6 PM.

Robotics
If you are interested in joining Robotics the first general meeting is at C-205 on Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30pm. The Vex Robotics also enlist for returning and new members.
Yearbook
We will be taking our school pictures through your English class starting today, Tuesday, August 23, and Wednesday, August 24. Photo packages will be available to purchase with Reed Takaaze's Photography studio. Remember the dress code and bring your smile!
Boys and Girls Tennis
To all boys and girls interested in playing tennis this school year, there is off-season hitting and conditioning starting up. Boys are Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays 3 - 6pm. Girls are Tuesday 4:30 - 6pm, Wednesday & Friday 4:00- 6:00pm. Students need to have a current physical & copy of Covid vaccine card or 2 negative tests a week to participate. For any questions, need a physical form, or need to turn in physicals, please see Coach Leanne in F-Bldg. Thanks!

[SPOT] Senior Class/Commencement/Counseling - Reuse
Attention Seniors! Please inform your parents/guardians that Senior Parent Night is scheduled for Thursday, September 1st @ 5:30pm in the Hilo High School Cafeteria. Important information about your Senior Class events for the year, College and Career planning, and Commencement will all be shared at this meeting. Attendance will be taken, and if it is possible depending on health and safety guidelines closer to May 2023, we may be able to give every graduate's family an extra commencement ticket for attending this meeting! Be sure to share this information with your families, and we look forward to seeing you there!
[SPOT] Pride Empowerment Club - Reuse
The Pride Empowerment Club will have its first meeting on Wednesday, August 24, during lunch recess in A-28. This club meets once a month and provides a safe place for LGBTQIA+ and their friends and allies. Everyone is welcome at all meetings, at any time throughout the school year. At this meeting we’ll be planning some fun events and service projects for the year . . . including marching in the downtown Hilo Pride Parade in June! We need your awesome ideas and support! Let’s stand united and celebrate our diverse and vibrant LGBTQIA+ community here at Hilo High!

Aloha mai kākou! Are you looking to learn a little bit about our Hawaiian culture? Are you looking to meet other people who love the Hawaiian culture like you? Well, come and join our Hawaiian Club.
