National Honors Society

Center for Tomorrow
Hey Vikings! Are you interested in becoming a leader in your school and community? Join the Center for Tomorrow's Leaders. There is an informational meeting onTuesday, September 13, 2022, in room C-127 from 3 pm to 4 pm. The mission of our club is to engage, equip and power future leaders. Join us and become part of a world-class leader who creates Hawaii's next chapter.
ASVAB Testing
All 10th-12th graders, the ASVAB administration is happening tomorrow, September 13th, 2022. The test will be administered in the Learning Resource Center to accommodate the testing. The LRC will be closed all morning, and will reopen during lunch recess.
College and Career Visitations
Hey, Vikings! The list of college and career visitations at Hilo High keeps growing and growing daily! Here is a list of what we have scheduled for next week:
On the Week of September 12 to 16:
Wednesday, September 14 the US Army will come during Period 4
Thursday, September 15 the Creighton University will visit during Period 1
Thursday, September 15 the Navy ROTC Scholarship Program Presentation will happen during Period 5
Friday, September 16 the UH Hilo will visit during Period 5
Please see Mrs. Frias in N-103 to sign up for any session you are interested in and get a pass.

After School Tutoring
Hey Vikings! Do you need help with your schoolwork? If so, join us at the lower patio after school everyday for an hour of tutoring! Everyone is welcome and all core classes and some electives will be covered by student tutors. See you then!
Class of 2023
Class of 2023 Senior Vikings! We have a date for our class group shot, also known as "The Mob Shot." Monday September 19th, during our STARS class, we will head down to the new gym and take our picture the old fashioned way, in the bleachers! Bring your 24x18inch poster with your name, your passion, or your place name. Make sure you are in dress code attire and no contraband on your poster. You must be present to be in the photo! Mahalo!

Host: Taking the PSAT/NMSQT will greatly benefit you in the long run, such as getting practice for the SAT. Here is how you can sign up for it.

PSAT/NMSQT Registration
The PSAT/NMSQT is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Those who are 9th-11th grade, interested in attending college and taking the SAT should highly consider taking this practice test to better prepare you for the real SAT.
11th graders who qualify for Free/Reduced lunch tests free.
For all others, the test costs $18.
