The HIlo High vs Keaau high GVB, game scheduled for tonight,has been postponed. The match will be rescheduled for a later date, to be announced. 


Teapresso Announcement

Do you like or LOVE Teapresso?

Are you sick of waiting in line for your Teapresso?

Well....You're in luck because the Hilo High  School LEO Club is holding a Teapresso Fundraiser THIS Saturday here at Hilo High in our parking lot!  Come by from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and pick up a quick drink, bento or musubi!  Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to send members to the annual LEO Club Convention on Oahu.

After School Tutoring 

Hey Vikings! Do you need help with your schoolwork? If so, join us at the lower patio after school everyday for an hour of tutoring! Everyone is welcome and all core classes and some electives will be covered by student tutors. See you then! 


Class of 2023

Class of 2023 Senior Vikings! We have a date for our class group shot, also known as "The Mob Shot." Monday September 19th, during our STARS class, we will head down to the new gym and take our picture the old fashioned way, in the bleachers! Bring your 24x18inch poster with your name, your passion, or your place name. Make sure you are in dress code attire and no contraband on your poster. You must be present to be in the photo! Mahalo!


Blood Bank of Hawaii - Play different videos for each day. 

Blood Bank of Hawaii is visiting Hilo for a Blood Drive on September 20, 21, & 22. Adult volunteers are needed for blood donations. Students over the age of 16 are welcome to donate. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and safety protocols, we will not have an on-campus Blood Drive this year. Please make sure to schedule your appointment by phone at (808) 848-4770 or online at www.bbh.org, since no walk-ins will be allowed. After getting your appointment, please show up at the following address: "The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Cultural Hall - 1373 Kilauea Avenue Hilo HI 96720 and provide the Hilo High code # 383. College and Career Visitations

This week, we have a variety of colleges and careers coming to visit Hilo High School!


Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 14 the US Army is visiting during Period 4

Thursday, September 15, Creighton University is visiting during Period 1

Also on Thursday, the Navy ROTC Scholarship Program will have a presentation during Period 5.

Finally, this Friday, September 16, UH Hilo is visiting during Period 5


Please see Mrs. Frias in N-103 to sign up for any session you are interested in and get a pass.


Host: Being a senior and having to apply for colleges can be stressful. Starting this week, Mrs. Frias is holding a FREE college application workshop. Here is Mrs. Frias for more information.

Host: Taking the PSAT/NMSQT will greatly benefit you in the long run, such as getting practice for the SAT. Here is how you can sign up for it.

The PSAT/NMSQT is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Those who are 9th-11th grade, interested in attending college and taking the SAT should highly consider taking this practice test to better prepare you for the real SAT.

11th graders who qualify for Free/Reduced lunch tests free.

For all others, the test costs $18.
