ASVAB Testing
All 10th-12th graders, the next ASVAB administration is on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022. The test will be administered in the Learning Resource Center and will start promptly at 8:10 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB. Email Ms. Arquero at [email protected] to reserve your spot.
Due to COVID-19, the number of test-takers per session has been reduced to 30.
The LRC will be closed all morning on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 to accommodate the test and
reopen during lunch.
Hero Store
Report Cards will be distributed on Monday Oct. 17 in STARS. Bring your report card to the Hero Store (B35) during lunch recess on Monday Oct. 17 and collect some Hero points! You will receive 10 points just for bringing it in to show us. You'll receive an additional 10 points if you don't have any D's or F's, and you could receive an additional 10 points if you have all A's. Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday at lunch!
Cancer Awareness Month
Hey Vikings, October is breast cancer awareness month. TODAY, hopefully you wore pink to participate in our Pink Out day in honor of breast cancer awareness. Those who participate will receive hero points at the patio. We hope to see you participating!

Attention all KVIKS Media members, we will be having a general meeting TODAY during lunch in C-215. During this meeting we will be swearing our new officers into office. If you have other meetings to attend please let Mr.Luke know. See you there!

[SPOT] Boys and Girls Golf
The Hilo High School boys and girls golf team is having sign ups for the 2022-2023 season. All returnees and interested golfers can sign up by calling Randy Pak @ 808-934-0049. Sign ups will run from this week, October 10 to Friday October 14. If you have any questions, please call Mr. Pak.

Other Announcements
This week in Viking Athletics:
On Friday, October 14, 2022, the XC will be at HPA at 3:30 PM.
Then on Saturday, October 15, 2022 The AR BIIF championships will be at Waikaea starting at 10 AM.
Lastly, conditioning practice for baseball will be on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 4-6 PM at Wong Stadium starting next Week.
College Fair
We've been invited to bring 80 students to a College Fair on Friday, October 21st. If you are interested in attending, come to N-103 to sign up and pick up a field trip form. Forms need to be signed by your parent or guardian, and you need signed permission from your period 3 and 5 teachers. Return your signed forms back to N-103 and the first 80 students will be able to attend. Please see Mrs. Frias for a list of colleges that will be there, and for any questions you might have. If you are interested in learning more about different colleges out there, we hope you will join us!
Boys Soccer
Any students interested in trying out for Boys Soccer, please watch the informational video link attached with your parent(s) or guardian(s). After viewing the video, please email coach George with your full name, and parents' email to sign up. All students' interested must sign up with coach George by October 14, 2022 to try out and or participate this season.
