Aloha kākou. ‘O wau o Kamaha’o. me ʻo wau o Ikaika. On November 28, 1843, Hawaiʻi celebrated itʻs declaration of Independence.  This day known as Lā Kūʻokoʻa is one of importance for us who live here in Hawaiʻi. Not many people know of this date and how it came to be.

So, starting on Monday the Hawaiian classes will be sharing some information with everyone on KVIKS so that you all can be in the know when it comes to this celebration.   We also ask that you join us in the celebration of Lā Kūʻokoʻa on Novemebr 28th ma mua o ka hale B (or in front of B building) during our wā ʻai (lunch time)

We ask that you listen carefully to the information given and take some notes as the following week we will be asking some trivia questions! That’s where you can win some ʻono grinds and some Hawaiian swag.  So stay tuned!  I lā maikaʻi!  A hui hou!
