Hawaiian Independence Day

Aloha kākou! ʻO wau ʻo Kuuipo. a ʻO wau o Keli’i_.This is how  Lā Kūʻokoʻa came to be,  PART 5.

Lā Kūʻokoʻa represents an affirmation of identity and joyful pride in being a part of the lāhui of Hawaiʻi. It is an assertion of deep aloha ʻāina (patriotism) that will continue to reverberate in our naʻau, our hearts, for generations.

Aloha ʻĀina is deeply layered; it is the love that the people have for the lands to which they feel a deep connection to.  It is also the patriotism and love of one's country and people.

So, on November 28 we ask you all to join us as we celebrate this amazing day of our Hawaiian history.

On this day, we wear RED and hold our heads high with pride as we show our deepest love for our homeland.  Eō ko Hawaiʻi!

Eo!
