Today, February 17, 2023, orders purchased from Panda Express at 376 Kilauea Avenue will go to our Hilo High School Viking Band. In order to contribute, order online using the code 342820 in the fundraiser code box, or show it to the active cashier when ordering in person.

Science Fair
Congratulations to Kira Corpuz-Matias and Emily Wagner for participating in the 2023 Hawaii District Science and Engineering Fair held this past weekend at UH Hilo. Both Kira and Emily placed best in their respective categories of Behavioral Science and Environmental Engineering. They collected five other sponsoring agency awards from organizations such as: Sierra Club, NASA, National Geographic, and the American Psychological Association. Kira will also be awarded with the STEM Honors Certificate and commencement cord at graduation this year, with Emily to follow next year. Great job Kira and Emily!

Hey Vikings! Have you ever wanted to buy a game on your computer or a new sweatshirt at the mall? This week's Financial Friday lesson is all about the importance of saving. My name is Kira, and I am a board member for the Hilo High School Student Credit Union. Saving money allows you to work up for something you want whether that be something to buy, or an event like prom! Some tips to help you save money is to record all of your expenses, another way is to set saving goals, and lastly you can determine your financial priorities. Hopefully these tips can help you start your journey to saving money!

If you are currently enrolled in an AP class your AP Exam fees are due.
Between today, February 16 - February 28th please come to Ms. Arquero's office in B33 during recess or lunch to pay them. Reminders were sent to All AP students' emails.
Payments can be made in EXACT cash or checks made out to "Hilo High School"
ACT Testing
ACT's for all Juniors are coming up on March 2, 2023. All Juniors have received an email from Ms. Arquero with a link to a google form. Please fill out this form ASAP.
This form allows us to know who to order lunch for. If you do not fill out the form you will not be able to receive lunch on Testing day. Please fill out the google form by 02/23/23.
