22-23 Homecoming Summary

The Homecoming week for the 22-23 school year have come to an end. On Monday we have our opening lot, which showcase the homecoming court, class banners and decorations competition. On Tuesday, we have Generation Day, where each class dresses for their respective generations. The freshman was babies, sophomores was elementary kids, juniors adults, and seniors as senior citizens. Wednesday was "There's No Place Like Home" day, were students have to were airport outfits and have suitcases. Thursday was "Living in The Moment," where students are task to wear outfits that are matching pictures from the childhood. On Friday, we have a closing lot, where the classes of Hilo High competed in a dance battle and an intense Tug-of-War battle, where Juniors won very convincingly. After the closing lot, homecoming ended with Hilo High School's own Ho'olaule'a, where the was performances perform by local artists, groups, and our very own Viking Band. At the end of the week, the class that racked up the most points during Homecoming week was announced. Congratulations to the class of 2024, this year's Juniors, won with the most points score this Homecoming. The Juniors was awarded with the Viking Sword, signifying that they were the winners of Homecoming. Thank you to all the teachers, students, and staff of Hilo High School for making this homecoming a one to remember. Also, a big thank you to KVIKS Media for broadcasting the events.
