HOST: Aloha Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin. I’m Landon, and today’s date is Tuesday, February 28th, 2023. The periods are 1-3-5-7.
ACT Reminders
This Thursday, March 2, 2023, we will have a modified schedule due to PreACT and ACT testing. Instead of ending at 2:15 PM like normal, school will be done at 1:10 PM. There will be no classes on this day. The bell will ring at the normal time, 8 AM. All 9th, 10th and 12th Grade students are to report to your STARS class. The seniors will be leaving for a service project while the 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the Pre-ACT in their STARS class. At 12:10 PM, the Pre-ACT will be over. You will be able to go to the Cafeteria to eat lunch. There will be no kiosk lunch service on Thursday. After lunch, report back to your STARS class.
All 11th Grade students should report to the New Gym for the ACT. Your schedule is different from the rest of the school. You will be testing with a few breaks in between all the way until 1:10 PM. If you ordered lunch on the Google Form, you will be able to pick it up at the release bell.
Reminders for all: Get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast before coming. Please bring a form of identification, such as your school ID, drivers or state ID. Please bring your own calculator, the teachers are not allowed to provide one for you. Cellphones and smartwatches are to be powered off and either collected or stored away in their bags when checked in.

Journey Through the Universe
The week of Journey Through the Universe has started, there are many presenters scheduled that you will meet through your class, but we also have some that are open to anyone interested in signing up, so please come to N-103 to see Ms. Lawrence or Mrs. Frias if you're interested for any open sessions.
Astronomy Career Panel
The Astronomy Career Panel will be here today, during periods 3 and 5, and tomorrow March 1st, there will be a speaker coming to give us insights on many possible ways you could go in if you’re interested in Engineering. See Ms. Lawrence or Mrs. Frias in N-103 to pick up a pass if you are interested in signing up for either of these sessions.
Graduation
Seniors! This is a reminder that if you haven’t ordered your graduation cap and gown, you need to order them by THIS Wednesday, March 1 to avoid the $40 late fee.
May Day
Come join us this Wednesday, March 1st in Kumu ‘Awa’s room during lunch recess if you and your friends want to share a performance during this year’s May Day on May 12!
Guitar Solo Recital
Come support and listen to a mix of musical talent featuring Hilo High Guitar this Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 in the Auditorium during lunch recess!
Art Club
Hello Art Club members! This is a reminder to send in your yearbook portraits before March 10th and our club party will be on the same day, March 10!
