CompuGirls Free Residential Camp on Oahu this Summer

Dates: June 4-10, 2023
Location: HPU downtown campus, Honolulu (Aloha Tower)
 
During this residential camp, you will explore cybersecurity, app development, robotics, marine science, and more! The program will be hosted at Hawaiʻi Pacific University’s downtown campus in Honolulu, where all students will stay overnight in student housing with chaperones. June 4 – 10, 2023. We have a strict non discrimination policy, and all individuals are able to apply and participate in our programs and events without regard to race, sex, gender identification, sexual orientation, national origin, native language, religion, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, genetic information, pregnancy or any other characteristic protected by law. This program is FREE and will include food, housing, and inter-island transportation costs.
 
Campers will stay in student housing with chaperones. There will be a couple of field trips to locations such as the Bishop Museum and the Oceanic Institute. This program is funded through an educational grant from the Department of Defense. All student expenses are covered, including inter-island travel for students who do not live on Oʻahu.

  • Ages: Focus on grades 9-12, but grade 7-8 applicants will be considered
  • Numbers: 30 new campers will be accepted 
  • 5 alumni campers of the Girls in Tech STEM programs will serve as peer mentors.
