Thank you to everyone who participated in the ACT activities, I hope you learned a lot of things that you could use when it's the real deal.
Hey Vikings! Did you know that there are many different types of career opportunities available this summer. Please check them out in the hilohigh.org, hover over news, and select College/Career. Some of the available workshops are “Manu! Not Mosquitos” where you will be centered around Hawaiian bird conservation and learning about solutions supporting critically endangered birds in Hawai’i. And another one is “2023 Nalukai Academy Summer Start-Up Camp” where each student is provided with guidance from industry leaders, innovative educators, and cultural practitioners who help students craft their own startups and pitch their ideas to an audience of venture capitalists, peers, and local business owners at the end of the camp. I hope you guys will take advantage of these career opportunities during the summer.
Cap and Gowns
Hey Seniors, please pick up your cap and gowns during recess and lunch recess in room A-22 (Ms. Arbles room). The designated days for the first letter of the last names are on Monday, March 6, 2023 is A to M and on Tuesday, March 7, it's N to Z. If you do have a math class with Mr. C, Mr. Young, Ms. Park, and Ms. Arbles, you will pick yours up during math class. Thank you.
Student Credit Union
Hey Vikings! Due to the renovation happening at the LRC, the Student Credit Union will be closed until further notice. Thank you for your patience.
Art Club
Hello Art Club members! This is a reminder to send in your yearbook portraits before March 10th. If you do not send in a portrait, you will not be featured in the yearbook page and we really want you to be in there! Please send them to either Ms. Z at [email protected] or Rianne Empaynado at [email protected]. When you send them in, please add your preferred name and any other artwork you would like featured. We will also be holding our Club party on March 10th, so please come by and celebrate with us! Thank you!

[VIDEO] Class Council Elections
Aloha Vikings! We are excited to announce the start of the election application period for the student association and class council offices for the upcoming school year of 2023-2024. This is an opportunity for you to get involved and positively impact our school community.
If you are interested in running for a student association or class council office, please come to Room A-16 during recess and lunch beginning on Monday, March 7, 2023, to pick up an election application packet. The election application is due on March 22, 2023. No late applications are accepted. We hope to see you on the ballot! Thanks!
[VIDEO] Senior Awards
Hey Seniors! If you have dedicated yourself to providing valuable school services, holding a leadership position, and actively participating in various activities during your high school years, you may be eligible for the Hilo High Service Awards, Viking Award, and Honor pin award.
We invite you to sign up for the application process in room A-16 beginning March 6 to March 10, 2023. The application form is due on March 22. These awards will be proudly showcased during the graduation ceremony.
