This year one of the cohorts will be held at UH-Hilo specifically for Big Island young ladies. It is a free program that has been applauded by 7 previous cohorts. Each day the girls learn how to develop their leadership skills while hearing from guest speakers and networking with other girls interested in making a difference in the world. The girls decide on a project that they would like to promote and get help developing an action plan by selecting one of the mentors available to help them operationalize their action plan. The highlight of the training is the TED-like talk held at the end for the girls to deliver their action plans to the wider community to gain support for a passion project.
Cohort 1 (virtual only): June 5 - June 29, 2023. M-Th, 9-11 AM
Cohort 2 (in-person in Hilo): July 3 - July 28, MWF, 9-noon
