Homecoming 23-24 School Year is Here!

Are YOU ready for homecoming? Well, grab your suitcase, ready your boarding pass, and fasten your seatbelts. Homecoming is right around the corner from September 11th to September 15th, 2023 and we are proud to present you with our theme, “Oh, the places you'll go!” This theme represents how no matter where you Vikings go in life, you'll always have Hilo High as your home.
Each class was able to pick a state within the United States to represent themselves with. Seniors are heading to the country music capital in Tennessee, Juniors are entering the Broadway stage as they travel to New York, Sophomores are heading to the golden state of California, and the Freshman better bundle up as they are headed to the coldest state in the US, Alaska!
We have planned an eventful week full of activities for you to participate in too! Kicking off our week on Monday, September 11th is Spin the Globe. Dress up to represent your class state and join us for a LOT! Tuesday, September 12th is Teacher and Student Swap. Teachers dress like students, and students will dress up like teachers. Join us in front of the auditorium at lunch to play a game of “Are you smarter than a 5th grader.” Wednesday, September 13th we fly away from the real world into Barbie land for Life in the dreamhouse. We will have a rally at lunch where you can “Capture the Barbie.” On Thursday, September 14th is Class Colors, if you are wearing class colors, come in front of the auditorium to get a treat during lunch recess and take pictures at our photo booth! Friday, September 15th, we take it back home to Hilo High for our Blue and Gold Day. There will be a lot at the end of the day to conclude our homecoming week. But don't forget to go to the game that night and support our Viking Football team! We will be having concession, lighting of the letters, court, and winning class dance.
