09/25/2023 KVIKS News Bulletin

PRE-ROLL:

[Mrs. Frias]

Aloha Vikings! As we are coming to the end of our first Quarter as Wall-To-Wall Academies at Hilo High School, we've decided to start a Weekly Attendance Challenge! As a school, Hilo High has set a goal of at least 95% attendance for every student on campus.  This means that at most, each student can have 9 absences for the entire school year.  Every Monday, you'll see the weekly standings of each Academy's Attendance Percentage on KVIKS. The percentage shown every Monday will indicate how many students in each academy attended school. The higher the percentage, the better the Attendance Rates for that Academy. Throughout this year, each Academy will be offering different incentives for students who have perfect attendance every quarter.

So without further adieu, let's see which Academy has the best attendance for the week of Sept 11-15!

Freshman Academy - 92.47%

Construction & Engineering - 92.94%

Business & Natural Resources - 93.81%

Health & Human Services - 94.21%

Way to go, Health & Human Services! But, less than 2% separates the 1st and 4th Academies this week. Pick it up, Vikings, and let's see who will top the list next week!
