The Wall That Heals

On Veterans Day 1996, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund introduced The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., designed to travel across the United States. This traveling exhibit has been displayed in communities across the country, reaching millions and spreading the Memorial's healing legacy. Bringing The Wall to local communities allows veterans' souls memorialized on it to be among family and friends in familiar surroundings, fostering healing. The Wall That Heals will be traveling past our school on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. If your teachers choose to, your class will come to the road outside our campus to watch as the wall travels by, while our Viking Band plays and JROTC pays respects. After this, the wall will be on display from January 24th to the 28th at Hilo Bayfront. We hope you all join us in this healing moment as we pay respects to the Wall that Heals.

[OUTRO] Thank you for watching! Find more announcements and watch the bulletin again at hilohigh.org or download the mobile app. Follow @hilohighschool on Instagram and Facebook. This concludes today’s announcements. Have a great day Vikings!
