02/06/2024 KVIKS News Bulletin

[PRE-ROLL]

Aloha, ʻo wau ʻo Kaimana a eia Ka Waiwai Hawaiʻi o Ka Pule or the Hawaiian value of the week.

This weekʻs Waiwai Hawaiʻi is Hō’ihi which means respect.

Aloha, ʻo wau ʻo Hilina’i me ka haʻawina ʻaʻa no ka pule or challenge of the week.  I challenge you to practice this value by treating teachers and other students the way you would want to be treated by remembering to say please and thank you. You can also show Hō’ihi by  listening carefully when your teachers are speaking.

aloha, ʻo wau ʻo Mahinalani and I leave you with this ʻōlelo Noʻeau to keep in mind while you challenge yourself to practice this weekʻs Hawaiian value.

“E hō’ihi aku, e hō’ihi mai. Ke ola koa.” Which means “ Show respect, get respect, and Live long like a koa tree.” Have a great week and donʻt forget to practice Hō`ihi.

I lā maikaʻi!

TOGETHER: Aloha!
